If you visit Like the Spice during the start of April, you'll notice something strange happening in the basement. What's all that stuff down there? Why the velvet rope? What is Like the Spice hiding?

For two weeks, starting on March 26th, Like the Spice's lower level will be home to noted artist Greg Haberny, who's been shown at various locations in New York, Miami and Connecticut. He'll be working down there in secret, with only the velvet rope protecting him from the public's prying eyes. And no matter how hard you try, you won't be allowed to peek.

But then, during the Williamsburg 2nd Friday on April 9th, the rope's going away! From 6:30pm until 10:00pm, visitors will be welcomed into the basement, to discover for themselves what Greg Haberny's been doing for the last two weeks. His instalation "The Homeless Boys Social Club" will evolve within our space as Greg shapes it to his wishes, transforming our world into a make-shift cardboard shelter. He's in Miami even now, writing down lots of ideas, and we're getting very excited to see what will be coming from all his hard work. Will it follow his previous piece The Glory Hole? Will it make you think of his The Yum Yum Factory? Will you be thrilled, amazed, or leave with your shoes freshly shined? You'll have to visit on April 9th to find out!

But remember, April 9th is just a sneak preview of our downstairs. You know, a little taste to keep you one step ahead of the crowds.
