Born in 1979 in Poland, Anna Druzcz is an aspiring image maker, whose initial interest and training in studio arts have blossomed into a passion for
photography and digital art. Anna began her formal training in visual art at Beal Arts Secondary School’s Vocational Art Program in London, Ontario.
Following vigorous experimentation with a variety of artistic mediums such as ceramics, etching, lithography, painting, sculpture and film, she chose
to continue her undergraduate studies in photography at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Fine
Art Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where through combination of photographic and digital techniques she is inquiring into the issues
of visual representation. Image construction, either within a directorial mode - in front of the camera lens, or through digital dissection and compositing
of disparate visual elements, constitutes a significant component of her art work. In 2004, Anna was awarded the International Fine Art Photographer of
the Year title, in non-professional category, by IPA for a selection from the Maskarada Series. She also placed second the following year in the same category.
